Understanding ASO: Is AppVector the Right Tool for You?

We’re two indie game devs with little marketing experience. Our app gets random spikes in users, then slows down. We’ve tried experiments (icons, screenshots, descriptions) but saw little change and left things untouched for months.

Is paying for AppVector worth it if we only make updates once or twice a year?

  • How often should we update descriptions, screenshots, or app name?

  • What kind of improvement can we expect?

  • Is it worth it for a small team?

Any advice would help. Thanks!

A tool like AppRadar, which I personally find really useful, can help you understand traffic spikes these are usually linked to changes in keyword rankings if you’re not doing paid acquisition. It’s also a good idea to A/B test your core metadata like the title, subtitle, description, screenshots, and icon, as even small tweaks can have a noticeable impact on visibility and conversions.
